    Luckily it's not an either/or choice. Why not pay for the Yahoo! listing for instant gratification and make a free submission to dmoz.org for consideration whenever. If you get approved you end up having both, that's not a bad thing.

    I am a webmaster and I used to submit my client's site to DMOZ for past few years. Eventually I don't even get one site listed in DMOZ. ~ Submit and Forget :(

    Its about like many worry about the next pagerank update. Many worries about it won't make it better. You either get in or not, no need to worry if you do or not. Like everyone else is saying submit and forget

    You have to look at the dmoz from time to time.

    There is no email or message if your website is added or declined in the DMOZ.

    It takes me 2 month to get listed with my fundraising website
