Time taken for search engines/alexa to notice my improvements

I'm working on my sites at the moment and was wondering how long it will take Google (and the others) to recognise the changes and reflect accordingly in searches? I see with Alexa you can request the bot to go feel out your site and it will do so within a few days (just waiting on that) but I was wondering how long it takes for the search engines?

    Thanks.

Until the next time the SEs index your pages BUT it will probably not be at the same time - SEs index your home page often but not all of your pages at once or one after the other as the bots crawl links in a random pattern, though changes to your main page will show up often as it's the page indexed most often because it usually has the most external links pointing to it. If you have deep links to you other pages, they will also be indexed more often.

How often do the bots come to your site? It should take approximately the same time. If you want to speed it up, you can link to those sites from your DP sig and they should get indexed pretty soon.

Well I think it will take weeks before you see any changes in Google.
Just keep working hard and you will succeed :)
