How long does it take for a new site to get indexed into the Google engine? Does it take over 3 months? Is there a certain period that it get added like the PR updates? please advice as to how quickly can a new site get on the google index. Thank you.
There are lots of variables in that question, and in the answer too. There is no "fixed" period of time for getting a site indexed. You may be able to get your index.html page indexed in 24 hours, but the rest of the site, depending on its size and many other factors, could take several months. The fastest way I know to get a site indexed in google is to put one index.html page on a subdomain, pack it full of keywords and jibberish, and get some backlinks by spamming blogs and forums. Abracadabra! You'll get indexed in a day! The slowest way to get indexed is to build and create unique content and pages, trade links with relevant sites in your business, setup a forum for your users, join Analytics and google sitemaps, submit your site for inclusion in the indexes, and continue to add new and helpful content for visitors everyday. You're looking at about a year. And that's if you can escape the sandbox and supplemental hell. No kidding.
from my experience it normally takes about 1-2 weeks to get indexed if you put links to it in busy sites like dp (e.g. your signature links)... however, i've had really stubborn sites that take up to 2-3 months... really baffled...
Or you can just publish each page on a subdomain and google will index a few billion pages for you in about 3 weeks. Seriously, one decent link (PR6 or so) and the site should be in there in 2 weeks. It may skyrocket then plummet into the sandbox after that, so get that one important link and then build other links real slow to avoid the sandbox.
It's all about links. Get 0 links; it will take years - forever. Get 10K authority links; it'll be fully indexed in 12 hours.
external back links do matter and after your index is indexed then proper internal linking of pages facilitates the procees of indexing internal pages!
I usually get links from a few good PR sites (4-6) and my new sites get indexed in about 24 hours - even if I think the spamming/subdomains technique is still the best... (how frustrating!!!)
Ok everyboby already said backlinks is needed so I am not going to repeat that. But what if you submit a site to google here http://www.google.com/addurl.html will it help to get indexed?
Yes, that works, but is not always the fastest method as there's quite a qeue no doubt of stuff getting put in there. The best way I've seen is getting even a few links on other well-established sites that get visited by the Googlebot frequently. Also ... if you have a GoogleAdSense account, throw up an ad or two ... the Google Media bot will crawl it almost immediately and that tends to "invite" the other Google bots in rather short order
rubeina, Google recommended using its addurl to submit you website but its not always necessary . YOu can get an inbound link from authroity website and get indexed in 24 housr. there is no fixed time period but the geting inbound links in the key.
What's the URL? I'll throw you up a link on a website that gets visited by Google several times a day and you'll be in shape in a matter of a day or so. PM it to me if you want or post it here.
Your url has to appear on sites that gets indexed daily in order for yours to get indexed fast. Signature in forums, blog entries, etc helps cos their content changes daily and google will crawl them more often thus detecting your site earlier.
As a test I added a new site to my signature here at DP. Within a couple of weeks the homepage was indexed in Google.
Well, my site was indexed by google within 24 hours after I set up my forum...the only indexed one page... (search for 'networldtalk' Btw, how long do I have to wait till my site get indexed...i have submitted my sitemap and verified it...
