    Hey all,

I am starting this thread out of curiousity more than anything, but I also think this is a very important aspect of internet success that is rarely discussed. I would like to compile this information and include it on my website in a future article...any and all participation is greatly appreciated. Please just fill in your breif (or detailed if you feel like it) answers to the questions below:

    1) How much time each week do you spend on the following tasks for AN INDIVIDUAL WEBSITE:
Posting in forums or community sites
    Writing and submitting articles
    Writing and submitting press releases
    Pursuing reciprical linking relationships
    Submitting to web directories
    Blogging
    Posting to social networking sites
    Adding content to your site
    2) How long have you been developing/branding this website?

    3) How much traffic does this website see on a monthly basis?

I might think of more questions to add later, but I am tapped out for now. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to share.

Thanks in advance for your involvment.

I am curious to see what everyone comes back with!

hehe, you are the third today~~you should not ask such hard questions that most people will take minutes to think over~~you do not throw the garbages away and just wait for answers.

you should split the questions and ask one at a time - and in a decent and delicate way.

    1) How much time each week do you spend on the following tasks for AN INDIVIDUAL WEBSITE:
Posting in forums or community sites - I don't post because it helps SEO/marketing. I post whenever I feel like posting.
Writing and submitting articles - None
Writing and submitting press releases - None (But I used to hire people to do this for me)
Pursuing reciprical linking relationships - None (Link exchange does not work as well as other methods)
Submitting to web directories - None (Its a complete waste of time)
Blogging - Quite a bit of time but for affiliate marketing, not SEO.
Posting to social networking sites - I use automated software.
Adding content to your site - Its mostly automated. The only content I personally create is when I blog.

    2) How long have you been developing/branding this website?

I have way more than one.

    3) How much traffic does this website see on a monthly basis?

Depends on the website. My automated blogs generate very little traffic but there are a lot of them. I used to touch million monthly uniques on others. I no longer count the hits. Its all about ROI etc.

I have been working on my website since August of 2008. I have been trading links for about a month and a half. My site gets around 150 targeted visitors a day (4000 people a month). At first most of the grunt work involved making the written material. Now the grunt work involves finding websites and contacting them. I've been doing this full time.

I have a name I like and recently bought another name I like for the blog. But I've been attacked with spam on my forum so I'm trying to find a way to get rid of and filter them now.

I've also written a couple of articles and they have done quite well because they are optimized for search engines. But definitely my main traffic source is search engines.

Holy hippotamus.. "it depends": some hours to many hours?

    Some years

it's in "tens of thousands"... although I'm on the same line with mightyb: more interested about roi. hits/traffic isn't that important... targeted traffic & conversions is.
