Time it takes for a new blog post to show up in Google?

    I'm not an expert on Google. I don't follow it that closely.
    I usually only check my results in Google every couple of weeks.
    Anyway, I just made a post on my blog about an hour ago and it's already indexed by Google. That seems pretty quick to me. Is this normal? How long does it normally take for a blog post to show up?

    Thanks.

    Indexing depends upon various factors like backlinks etc.,

    So Do n't worry about it

    If you have a high PR backlink to your blog , then chances are high that your blog may be indexed quickly

    Also having your blog as signature link in forums like DP also help you a lot

    Google seems to love blogs, when you post and ping 'pingomatic' , that also pings Google, and you are added to the new indexing queue, which could take an hour, maybe you got it at a good time :p
    My posts are usually online within 2 hours (on Google) ; but I have PR3, if that makes any difference :p

    Well! even if we do not know the criteria that Google makes decisions on, this is generally accepted that Google is a search engine and works to assist the visitors to identify the relevant information.

    The time that Google takes to find us differs, depending on when we are being searched. . However the comparison of the PageRank and the authority of the website comes when there is competition on the searched term.

    I just searched for a phrase in my blog, and got it cached again today...

    I also notices that my last comment was cached on the same day when I published my post...

    Google crawls the website quickly but don't show the results fast. You have to wait.. but don't worry about it .

    Depends on each blog, on how powerfull it is backlinked and how often you update the content

    Blogspot = 10 minutes to a week
    Wordpress= A week

    Presuming the blog is weak and posts are rare.

    But if you have a strong site with new content frequently, should be a lot quicker.
