Time between crawling and indexing

    Can someone tell me what can be the time difference between crawling a site and indexing a site. I have a blog which gets indexed after 2 hours of posting, which I check by directly entering the title of the blog post in google. However when i use some of the website tools. IT says that google crawled my site sometime back before I even posted my new post which was indexed.

    If you will use pinging service like technorati, it get indexed fast.

    One of my site is being crawled everyday- but indexes only every 7 days.:(
