Tie downs - Closing in the Sales Process

Going through uni I had a few sales jobs on the side to pay the bills. I've been to a ton of training seminars and so on and heard a lot of crap but tie downs really do work. The number of sales I've closed with this is staggering and... it works well on women also ;)

I was thinking of writing an article on it and did a quick search on google and of course there it is - tons of great articles.

Have a look at this one: Tie Downs

What isn't mentioned in the article is - by using a tie down people agree silently even if they are neutral or disagree, they will only actually verbalise a 'no' if they disagree enough to speak up and say 'no - I disagree.'

So pepper several tie downs into your next sales pitch - hammering home the fact that what you are selling meets their needs and is ideal and you will be very suprised by your success.

The trick of the delivery is you don't stop talking to hear them verbalise the 'yes' you just keep talking and they say a silent yes.

That's why it can be transferred effectively to an online application.

    The process I use is:

    1. Find out what they want and what features they need...

    2. Then present the product or service you are selling and use several tie downs in the process of describing how what you have on offer is what they want and has the features they need.

:D It was a great article wasn't it!

Give us a thums up or down and if you have any other great tips for selling let me know.
