Thunderbird cannot open links

    I installed Thunderbird to keep an archive of gmail inbox on my computer.

    The problem is that whenever i click on a link nothing happens. No browser opens.

    Neither IE or Firefox.

    Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

    Maybe a firewall stopping Thunderbird from connection out?

    I receive mails ok.

    If in an email I have an html link, and I click on it, no browser opens the link in question.
