If you are starting out with affiliate marketing I have to say you need to put some type of stat tracker on your landing page. It can be Google Analytics or StatCounter you just need a stat tracker.

The reason why is once you make your first sale you can go back and find out where that user came from advertise / promote more in the place where they came from since it made a conversion.

This said I did the same thing I just said to you and have made 2 sales within one weeks time of my product :) Just some advice.

Thats great advice, I didn't do this for a long time but its definitely helpfull in weeding out poor converting sources of traffic and emphasizing those that perform well.

I always put statcounter on all of my landing pages. Definitely a must. In most cases I can track exactly where a sale comes from even without any special TID (by looking at what state the buyer is from.) This is important with articles - as otherwise it's impossible to know which articles are actually making you sales.
