Hello guys, Does Google allow Three way link exchange? Do they penalised site for doing this? Does it affect SERP? thnx
nope.. as long as its not against their guidelines.. read more about linking guidelines: http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=66356
I'm pretty sure 3 way link exchanges are not penalized. They seem to actual benefit you more then anything. Correct me if I am wrong
3 way link exchanges are not penalized, and if those links are quality and relevant then more effective to you.
Yes google can detect them. They also will penalize you once they catch you. Where the heck are you guys getting your information? You guys would really have a much easier time if you went to the source... http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=35769
You have to be smart to get away with 3way linking. There can be no connection between the site you link to the other site with and the site they are linking to and you should be careful not to overdo it. have to agree with digisaurus, you guys need to read up on things before throwing incorrect advice down. you have to imagine that google clamps down on EVERYTHING that is not natural to search.
Three way link exhange is good but it's difficult to convince people to do it. If you don't disclose anywhere that you own all the websites and spread the links Google like other SE's don't have a chance of detecting them.
Google does Not want to assign value to Links that are of questionable nature. Google does Not want to assign value to Links that are self provided. Google does Not want to assign value to Links that are not natural.
Why do you try to beat the system and fool G? Why not spend time on building a great website that others will link to? Do you really think you can outsmart Google engineers? hahaha... go ahead and try. I will bet everything I have that Google wins, you lose! /*tom*/
soon, any link exchange will be against the Google TOS,then there will be rules about what content you can publish on your own website and pretty much after that, we all be just using adwords. Why not make it easier for big G? Lets start sending small checks to Google just to be on the safe side
This is why most people doing SEO fail-they're trying to 'beat Google' and yes it's hilarious. But you can't blame them. All of these so called gurus (that actually have no clue) have a lot of fun brainwashing the noobs for money. Anyways, if you want to rank high, build solid content that people like. If you're worried about competition, then go after low competition keywords.
When you are an established site and ranking at the top, you wont have much difficulty in getting links. But for a new site, to get natural links is very difficult and the tide is against you. Because when you are ranking in the 5th page , you dont have no visitors so even if you may have great content no one willl be seeing it and linking to you. Thus in the beginning , only the most determined webmasters will wait for natural links
Yes, this is true. But, it is not a reason to cheat. If I go to a movie theater and I get there a little late, and I find the line is very very long, can I say "This is not fair. I am new here and look at all of those people who are here already a long time. They have a big big advantage. I can never get to see this movie. So, because I am at a disadvantage I will cheat and focus my energy on cutting to the front of the line." We all were new at one time. I still start new websites, brand new, with no support or links from my sites that are old. Why don't I link? Because they are not the same topic, not the same purpose. So the only reason to link would be to cheat Google. I have before, and have lost. I do not fear Google. I fear no one. But, I know "don't bring a knife to a gun fight". Google is the big guns. So why would I waste my time fighting a fight that I can never win? There is much temptation out there. We are all impatient. If you build a crappy site to make adsense money, you will make nothing. If you build a great site with something useful you will in time succeed. With all of the social networks today, the opportunity to draw millions of people is huge. New webmasters must work to promote. *That* is the *big* secret my friends. I wrote a short book. It is very short. In fact it contains only one word. The title is "How to make money on the Internet". The one word is "work". /*tom*/
Just to clarify that Google will not penalise you for three way link exchange if it's done responsibly and not in excess. Quote from Google Webmaster help on what they will penalise you for: .
I guess the only difference is that in the internet the line hardly moves. The guys at the top takes all the tickets
You will not get penalized for three way link exchanges or two way link exchanges. However, I suggest that you focus on (gradually) building one-way links for your Web site. One-way links have the most weight. Be sure to only acquire one-way links from reputable, authority Web sites.
