Hello! I've got three questions about TOS violating: Is it OK to have AD Units in box like the vertical AD on the rigth on http://www.blogflux.com/pinger/? Is it OK to have images next to the AD Unit with line between them like in the example below? Can I use this 2 methods together (Images + AD Unit inside a round-cornered box)?
From the Adsense Blog: http://adsense.blogspot.com/2006/12/ad-and-image-placement-policy.html They also provide pictures as well on the blog post, so you can fully see what they are talking about. NinjaShoes - You especially can't have images that are nothing to do with the ad. The biggest problem Adsense has with images is that people put pictures of hot women next to ads. Guys see the pictures and immediately click on the ad without even reading it. The advertiser then gets all angry when no one buys his gardening manual (or whatever - unrelated ad).
"If the ads and the images appear to be associated" - do you think that images are associated with ads in the example I've shown you in the first post? This post on Adsense Blog doesn't give me clear answer. And what about AD-in-the-box on http://www.blogflux.com/pinger/ ?
Your example of the ad on your blog and images on the adsense blog are very similar, so I would say that you aren't allowed. The ads on: http://www.blogflux.com/pinger/ all seemed fine to me (I saw 2 ad blocks, one in a blue box).
OK, thank you for help. Do you think that one long image along AD Unit is OK? I think that it should also increase CTR.
