anidesign: thanks for entering this. Very, very stylish designs. They look really good but I am afraid they are a touch too good. I am going to use these for some flavours so I need something stylish but more mainstream. The way you placed those icons is also great and very suitable (I want mainly text with only subtle icons). The only thing is if you can try something not so elegant. I can't believe I am knocking back a logo for being too stylish. How can I explain it: you have average chocolate at supermarket and you have belgian chocolate which is supposed to be super dooper fancy chocolate. Your logos would look really great for the fine belgian chocolate but I sell a "cheaper" type of chocolate. Hope I make sense.

bitwer: thanks for the interest. It all depends how cartoonish it is. I saw one that was cartoonish and I liked it even though I am aiming for a more "corporate" look

jasonleon: thanks for the submissions. chocolate: Very creative but a touch hard to read because of that icon you placed in the background. vanilla is a little misunderstood: I want cool vanilla not frozen/cold vanilla. Although very creative it's not suitable. The banana ones are again creative but I looking for more of a text, simpler/easier to read logo

ceroabsoluto: thanks for the entries but not exactly what I am after. You used two different colours for each logo and they don't seem to match and also I need something more stylish.

jasonleon: thanks for the new try but I don't think it's heading in the right direction. I actually liked your first one better. This looks a little amateurish. The first one thouh looked more creative. Also I was after a logo that was mainly text and the one you sybmitted last seems to be a touch too busy with the attached motifs.

dr@gon: much much better though it needs a little more polishing. I will be sleeping on it tonight (already close to bed time here down under) and will choose the finalists tomorrow and will let you know what I need changed and then it's up to you if you want to do those changes

jason: First of all you don't have to apologise regarding your previous entry. Sometimes the ch and the designer have different views/opinions. I like that effect for the vanilla one but the font you used I am not fully sure of it. Also the blue may need to be changed. Again, I will sleep on it and will come back tomorrow with the finalists and then let you know what I would like changed and then of course it's up to you if you want to do it. The chocolate ones..hmmm, I can't put my finger on it but just not what I am after though they are not too bad either.

navywife: thanks for the new try. I really like your font for the chocolate one but not so sure about the effect you used. Maybe I need something a touch sharper but still using the same font. What I normally do is I pick the finalists two or three at the very most and then I will come back with the changes that I need and it's up to you whether you do those changes. I really like how you placed that crown and tomorrow I will choose the finalists. The vanilla one is also one I am considering (font is ok but not the effect), though I like the chocolate one better. The banana one looks ok but I just happen to like other banana ones better.

TDGraphics: thanks for the entries but the colours look a little pale. I was after something a little more vibrant. They all look like they have potential and with some minor changes they could win. I will pick the finalists tomorrow.

If anyone else is interested please get your entries in otherwise I will pick the finalists in about 16hrs from this post (I am based in Australia so our time doesn't seem to work well with most of the world).

Ok guys, here's where I am. I am not sure how fair this is but it seems to have worked in my past contests. I like to choose the finalists and then it's up to the finalists if they want to do the changes before I pick the winners:
Chocolate: the finalists are navywife and offiri0. navywife, can you remove the drop shadow effect in your entry #57? Also what I need is the logo to be more compact somehow. This is my suggestion: leave chocolate as it is and remove the crown from royale and place the crown on the same line as royale either at the beginning of it or at the end of royale similar to my not so successful examples. Sorry but my skills in paint are not that great.
offiri0: in yours, all I want is the crown to be a little smaller and try the same thing as I suggested to navywife so it looks more compact. Remove the oval and simply place the crown either at the front or at the end of the word royale

I am working on the other two flavours and I will be editing my post shortly.

For vanilla the finalists are: dr@gon #10 and jasonleon #47. dr@gon, for #10 please remove the icon and see if you can make the logo a touch more compact by placing the two words closer to each other (on top of each other). I also need you to choose some more vibrant colours somehow. Maybe look at some icecream packaging in the vanilla flavour for some inspiration. Vanilla is a really hard one. Maybe the colour can be a little towards light purple??? I'm not sure, I like the font you used but the colours need to be improved. jasonleon#47 I like the colours but the l in cool needs to be a capital L and that's about it.

For the banana I am still deciding and should know in a few hours
