    Hello Friends,

I have to optimize a website on three keywords. So, I want to know which of the following option will be helpful to get ranking fast in SERP:
    1. Three Keywords and One URL
    2. Three Keywords and Three URLs(Means Home and categories pages)

Does Google count backlinks of home page (xyz.com) only or count backlinks of categories pages?
Will categories pages backlinks be counted in xyz.com?

Please, no general answer and also give reason why you suggest me 1 or 2 option with reference if available.
I hope, seo experts will assist me.

I would suggest "three keywords and 3 URLs" as you put it. That is, I would optimize my home page for the primary keyword phrase, and have sub pages for each of the secondary keyword phrases. Typically, your sub pages are more long tail phrases and your home page is a more broad phrase. Over time, what generally happens is that the sub pages get the most links and ranking boost. And each time that happens, the home page gets a little more link juice as well. Secondary page backlinks are definitely 'counted' by Google. They absolutely matter, and should be your primary focus. The home page will get its boost over time if your secondary pages are getting links and ranking.
