Hi i have a turkish article site . www.turkcebilgi.net . while i was checking its page rank , i realised somethink . it has three different page rank. http://oy-oy.eu/google/pr/?url=http://www.turkcebilgi.net http://livepr.raketforskning.com/?u=http://www.turkcebilgi.net only 216.239.51.44 dc is showing pr 5 . the others are showing pr0 and pr4 . it's very strange page rank update . this site had pr0 six months ago , it get pr 4 three months ago and i think it will get pr 5 for this update. as i understand , some of google dc has not finished last page rank update.
Yes, PR is in the midst of updating.. The PR of your site should be stable after the PR propagation across the data centers
Yeah, for some reason PR is rolling back to PR0 on some DCs for some sites..... I guess this is only temporary. I would say that the PR5 you saw is the correct one ... it will take a while for it to filter through all the DCs ...
I see over 5 DC's showing PR5 for your site @ http://livepr.raketforskning.com/?u=http://www.turkcebilgi.net by now, hope the rest will be updated soon. Good luck
That is just an addon tool from www.livepr.com and there are something like 700 datacenters so your missing a few
PR prediction tools are a joke but ones like live PR querry the Google datacenters directly and are getting there information straight from Google
I am new to this whole page rank thing, with my humble website having only been created in November of last year, so please forgive my ignorance. My domain went from PR of 0 (because it had just been created) to a PR of 6 as told by the google toolbar on my computer at work. Last night I got home and looked on my home computer (about 30 miles away from work) and according to that computer, I have a PR of 0. Today back at work, I still have a 6. I just checked the Avissoft PR checker and it says I have a 5. What the heck! I know it really does not matter unless I wish to sell links (I do not at the current time), but I am just trying to figure this thing out.
Hi, Its not an addon tool from livepr. We are not fetching or picking up anything from livepr. Its our own created script but yes we have changed its look like livepr. It is connecting directly to the IP addresses of google as shown in the results. It is precise becuase a slight change in any of the server for your website lets you know what is your future PR going to be and its perfect. Also if you look at the Min PR, Max PR and Overall PR then Min PR means the minimum PR recoreded for your website, Max PR the maximum recorded and Average is like: add all the pr that is fetched and / number of servers = avg pr. So whats the use is basically that if your PR is going to change you can virtually see the change by querying all the servers and you know your PR before it even gets out. If you are getting different PR's in toolbar at different places then it just that update is in progress and shortly it will going to get same on all servers and then you will see 1 single PR. Update takes time ;-)
Ok, lets assume that you've understood the measurement algorithm of Google since last update. But will your tool be precise if something is changing in Googe's algorithm before the update? For instance, Google seems to be devaluating certain category of links and some sites have lost PR after current update, or their PR has decreased. I'm sure that your tool did not predicted PR loss for these sites, right? Thus we can conclude that if Google will change something during the period between this and subsequent updates, then predictions of your tool will appear to be wrong again. Am I wrong? Given that the algorithm is changing there is no logical possibility to predict page rank in any way.
Hi, You're really misunderstood this tool. We are not re-generating or trying to determine the alogrithm. We're simply fetching the PR from all the google servers. Like you do a whois lookup for a domain we're doing a pagerank lookup from all the servers which on their on do all the maths and then just return the PR. Now you must be thinking then whats the use of this tool ? Well its very easy: Suppose google has one test server on which they are changing the algorithm or lets say a PR update has started from server 1 which will be followed by 2,3,4,5 etc. ....this is where this tool helps you... A new algorithm is out on lets say server 10..and lets say your website's pr was 4 and due to new algorithm its going to get updated to 6 then when you use this tool all servers with old algo with show PR of 4 but where new logo is implemented you will see PR6 ...now you know that something is going to happen. This is how i come to know the pr a few days earlier before it really is visible to everyone. There are few servers which are updated before it really is updated on all other servers. This is how this tool helps. This tool is not trying to immitate the google's algo. It just asks for PR fom the sevrer like google toolbar does ;-) Thanks.
