Hello I live in India and offering web design services Recently We did web design service for a client but unfortunately his accountant who was managing the Paypal account for him chargeback the money and we got over 4.2k Negative balance on Paypal Since then the Paypal account got limited, I have been trying to work with the client to resolve the issue and meanwhile Paypal starts sending me money to cover up the negative balance Recently they send me an E-mail with following message Since We live in India and I'm not sure if they will send someone to us to recover this amount I need an advice from Paypal Indian users because if it happens then this will be more loss for us.. Need Help Pls advice ..
If it was a mistake by your customer,show him the emails and ask him to instantly Deposit the money to your Paypal account and send them an email explaining this was an issue caused by them. Tell him in indirect words that any loss you make due to messup will have to be born by him
I do not think it is advisable to ignore it, right or wrong, do reply with and work with them to resolve it. Ignoring such emails/letters will put you at a disadvantaged should the matter go to Court.
It's the fault of the client who charged back 4.2k into your account. Tell PayPal about this and send them transaction ID/exact time of the occurrence.
I understand that Paypal works as a middle man and therefore whatever conflict occurred between me and my client will not be entertained by Paypal.. I Send them an E-mail about How this Refund can be done, As Now we don't use Paypal for big transactions but for this issue it is good to refund the money, Which Paypal refunded on our behalf to the client ..
First of all PayPal cant do anything legally in India since their intl jurisdiction restricted to Singapore and they have to file case under intl law ( arbitration ) . they cant come India and file a case against you. Second in India no body can hire third party agency for recovery of fund since Supreme court passed the judgement last oct 2011 even if it state bank of India . In india all credit card company,bank have to recover amount via legal process and if any bank or cc company violate the rule and harass the customer then they are legally bound to pay the compensation if its proven later which will be higher the disputed amount lol . So just chill and relax .nothing will happen . and the msg u got is robotic msg same copy paste letter I also got when my account was -14$ negative balance . hahahaha.
Thats why its advised to use Escrow for such kind of transactions. Better use it in future to avoid problems like this.
The bottom line is using Paypal for virtual items/services is always a risk. You are liable for the funds. Will they pursue you? I don't know, but I wouldn't be taking the risk. WebDev

Paypal fight cases in Singapore court and the Japanese court sop need not to worry in India just ignore and immediately close your Paypal account and change each and every details and even close the bank account which was attached to the Paypal account for yours
I suggest you contact your client and tell him about this issue. then contact Paypal to settle the dispute.
