Threads Being Buried?

I've noticed that threads just get buried within a day or two now and there doesn't seem to be any way at all to prevent it from happening. I know at another popular forum, there's a procedure and an actual button to "bump" your thread - you can only use it after your thread has been live for 48 hours and is past page two - or something like that.

So what do you do here? I'd think posting the thread again would get you in trouble, but if you don't your original thread is going to be lost in the archives that very few people will ever see.

    What to do?

Well, not very smart policy if you ask me, but that's how DP is functioning now - old threads are only on top for 2-3 days, then they go down forever. It's especially annoying in the BST section, which is now much worse than it used to be.

    Hope mods change it... :(

It took my thread in the website sales section a whopping two hours before I was deep into the 7th page. I would like a bump option, but than all these little kiddies would be going crazy bumping their threads.

When I want something, I use the search and find exactly what I want, usually.

It does matter how many times the thread title changes, bumping posts have never been allowed, I don’t see it changing.

    Thanks Brian

Yeah, it works if you've got alot of posts all over the site so as to increase your chances of a potential client seeing your signature..if not, you're stuck.

I definitely think a bump option should be implemented -- I've seen it on other sites, so it can't be too complicated.

Maybe have specific guidelines -- the option is only available for topics that have been open more than 2 days but not longer than 2 weeks? IDK I'm just thinking [aloud/onto my keyboard]..

You always have the option of buying another person's sig links if you want more exposure. ;)
