    Someone on here recently berated me and another for thanking people on our threads.This person feels we should not do that.He feels that it is tantamout to spam and is a bannable offense.He threatened to report me.That is his right as is his opinion.
    However it is my conviction that people who come on my threads are my guests,and I believe it is impolite to simply ignore their posts.Besides by commenting on their posts it increases the debate and thereby makes the threads more interesting.The person who critisized me feels we are merely trying to increase our post count.That is ludicrous,what do we gain by a larger post count,do we get a cash prize?
    What is your feeling on this,do you think it is a matter of common courtesy for the thread host to respond to their guests? Or do you think it doesn't matter one way or the other?

    If you want to personally thank people, just send them a PM... it's even better than posting it since it's more personal.

    This forum is missing some valuable members.....post count is not help anyway for members because it is no follow forum ....some members come here to general chat for time pass only they did not have signature link for advertise his business,so that kind of person post count is no value........

    O.k. everybody I'm through feeling sorry for myself and am reopening the thread.:).I get a little over sensitive at times.I felt yesterday that Shawn(DigitalPoint)was basically advising me not to thank people on my threads.But......we are free to do as we prefer.And Shawn like anyone on here has his opinions.But coming from the boss:) it kind of got to me.But I'm back ha*ha!
    I'm going to continue answering my thread guests as I enjoy the back and forth and I believe it promotes dialoque and side conversations.I truly want to help build a sense of community here on DP.I need to stop being so overly emotional...just comment and relax a bit.:)

    @logaseo
    Yes very true,some of us have no signature link and post count means nothing.I had to come back after my little pout yesterday.I would have missed you too much.:)
    @DocterSynch
    Good tip but I prefer to thank my guests publicly.We all have our different ways of doing things huh?
