Currently when you want to post a new thread, you have to check: I believe XXX is the BEST section for this topic Couldn't you add another line that says: I believe my entry hasn't been discussed before. Or something similar in order to reduce the duplicate threads being posted (especially about Adsense, links etc? You could disable it in B/S/T sections because obviously there are many people offering the same things. Just a quick suggestion, don't know if it's possible or not, but after reading what happened to DaniWeb.Com because of duplicate threads it might be good. Greetz!
I agree that threads like " Can i make money with adsnese" or " Does paypal allow this " etc are all over this forumbut putting this advice is not going to help.
Also true. I can't find any other thing that could be done though.. there should be something, right? Reports don't help since mods don't remove anything that doesn't violate the forum rules.
To be frank this is the reason DP is not as good as it was before. If you go to the general marketing section you are not going to find anything else than " What is affiliate marketing " " How much can i make money with ebay" etc.
Reporting is exactly the right thing to do. Include in report link to another thread which is a duplicate of the thread reported. We merge duplicate threads and issue duplicate thread infractions.
He was not talking about duplicate threads from a same person. He was talking about same threads which are created by different members. For example who wil win cricket world cup etc.
We merge threads like that when reported. Other types we merge, When is the next PR update? General chat and its subcategories is filled with duplicate threads.
