I have a number of contacts in the PRC (China) with manufacturers. What do you think will be a better approach to bringing their product to the U.S. market, be the distributor or act as middleman and setting up a dropshipping service for U.S. buyers? I just want a get a general opinion.

In my opinion it is always better in business to have control over as many variables as possible so you can adjust to the market and to individual customers. So the best option is to become a distributor, assuming that you have a place to store the product and plenty of working captial to start. If not blind shipping is definately the more economical route.

I think china will be slowing, just like USA. We just need to get this gas prices down! then shipping be reasonable. which will allow you to be middleman and make more.:)
