I've been working on the web for over 4 years now and went full time a little over a year ago. I'm making decant money and looking to try expand into new stuff. I'm wondering what the thoughts are on niche targeted tube sites and actually making a profit? I have a project that I've been thinking about for quite some time, but I'm almost scared to try it. I have what I think is a pretty good idea for a tube style site that will target a niche user group and the advertisers are definatelly out there for the targeted user group. I'm just scared about the bandwidth usage and if I could make a worthwhile profit from selling add space alone. I'm wondering if any others have been successful at building niche targeted tube sites "and" pulling a profit while hosting your own videos. From my understanding youtube is still losing money and of course stage6.com just shut down a month or so ago. Both of these sites are giants compared to what I could build so it's a scary thought to say the least. Anyone care to post their experances?
Lot of youtube niche sites are running.But if the videos are perfect for the users choice,then it will be a nice one.
