What are your thoughts of putting adsense on the homepage? Should i be giving the vistor a reason to leave once they get to the page? Right i'm thinking of putting a skyscraper banner to the right of the Featured Articles section. Is this a bad idea?
I think it depends on the site itself. If you are providing information for the user but not selling anything then ya you want them to leave your site. Who cares if they read what you have you just want money. If you sell a product then I will be more careful on driving my customers out to my competition.
right now i do sell products through amazon affililiate program but haven't made too much money doing it that (might pick up once i get some more traffic). From what i read in here, good content sites have potential to make alot of money via adsense, and i feel i have a very good content based site
