First, I don't want this to turn into a "Mac vs PC" war... I just want opinions or facts on refurbished macs. Is it worth it? Are they as good as new? Risky to buy one? Etc. Thanks.
One thing that comes to mind is that it could have dead pixels? :\ But personally, if it is cheaper, then I would go for it!
You cant know for sure the reliability because refurbish can be expressed in many ways: 1. buyers returns all open packages 2. hardware failure and reutrned and refurbished in most cases, it is better to stay away from refurbish items unless you can take a chance if you are on budget to obtain a mac in your case, dont chance it but if you have spare money then buy the refurb one. also see if they can give you some sort of warranty.
I don't know much about refurbished computers but if the quality is good an it's durable you should get it if the price is right.
IF its refurbished from Apple, then you shouldn't have a problem, plus they do offer warranties. I'm looking at getting a refurbed MacBook myself.
