Those companies who buy searched lists when checking domains...

Is this practise right or should they be pulled for it.

I`m referring to the one or two companies who seem to pay for lists of searched domains. So many times in recent weeks, I have searched for a domain - it was available, I didn`t register it immediately and then check it a day later and it`s gone!

They are of course grabbing the free 5 days option so to see if the domain generates any revenue etc.

Should they be allowed to do this (buy lists or whatever tool they are adopting to get this info) or is this just smart business?

It's called domain tasting and it's been talked about a lot if you search around.

Busines everywhere. Seems whois services also want some money for the domains. I would recomend use only trusted whois or check domain name aviability under account on domain name registrar.

You won't face any such problem if you buy from a reliable domain registrars. However I would suggest the moment you find the desired domain name, don't make delay, just register it.
