Watch this short funny video from the sixties (I think) following the crowd This is what I see going on in our schools and colleges, except add more force through humiliation and intimidation by teachers, professors and other students. Those who aren't 'forced' are like those in the video, clueless to the manipulation around them, because they want to fit in. This also applies to religious or anti-religious circles who do not allow for those to freely think or question. Stalkers who like to twist peoples words, please leave.
Debunked that was hillarious and i agree with your statement. As far as public schools, i always wanted to be home schooled lol.
I went to public schools, but it wasn't until I moved back to California that I found out the hard way that some teachers are looking for certain beliefs to ridicule. He tried to make fun of me in front of the whole class on a few occasions, yet he failed to break me. I think some of the kids in the class were shocked at how he treated me, but they didn't say anything. The poor guy is probably still miserable in his life, sad. If I could remember his name I would actually try to contact him. He is probably only in his 60's now.
I think it's human nature to want to fit in, maybe because those who fit in tend to survive and survival is enough for the masses.
Yes, that is true, but when others know this and use it to manipulate for their own gain or their agenda, it is wrong. People are too easily swayed especially when younger, that is why schools are the target of so many groups, they can brainwash our kids without our permission.
My problem was always with the other students and not the teachers. I was a non comformist and since i was brought up with strong morals my classmates felt i wasnt groupie material and that was fine by me because if fitting in meant doing drugs, premarital sex or getting speeding tickets then i dont wanna fit in. As far as your statement about california i agree also 100%. The teachers and student friends i made when i lived in queens new york were the best friends i ever made. The education system there is 100 times better then here in california(in my opinion).
Not just human nature, you see this kind of mimic behavior in the animal kingdom as well. The video was hilarious, I'd like to think I'd react differently but couldn't say I would for sure. But I'm pretty sure I'd be immune to this particular experiment just because of the amount of time I spent riding elevators when I worked in a hospital in college.
I have a habit of being different on elevators already, so this video really cracked me up. My wife gets annoyed with my antics, but I will face different directions, climb on the rails, or whatever to mess with people since they always look like robots to me getting on elevators. Same on escalators as well, I am always moving. Maybe it is just the ADD(efg) I have...
I wonder how far you could take this... Like, if you gathered a group of friends and one other person and told all your friends to give you twenty bucks, you've got a nice little scam going there.
