Three years I've been with adsense, I've guarded my accounts from friends, reported evil doers (busted several google fraud rings), reported immediately every time I felt I might have accidentally clicked and worked my butt off. for what? To get smartpriced. I've got less than $170 bucks made for the month. I thought it was just the market, but after doing more research, I've concluded, That I must be being smartpriced. This really sucks the big one. I never pay for traffic, I get it from legitimate ways. And I always do the right thing. As you might can tell, I'm ticked.
They don't manually choose accounts that get smart priced. It just means your traffic isn't converting. Since it was recent, give it a week or two. They just released new ads that lower the chances of accidental clicks, thus, reducing the chances of getting smart priced. It happens to the best of us. P.S: One-Two weeks smart priced is nothing to get angry over when having a good (I assume) three years with AdSense. Like I said, they don't manually choose accounts to get smart priced. It's your traffic.
Yes, it truly does suck . Adsense is starting to monetize very poorly for me as well. Same number of clicks, same traffic sources, huge cut in profit. If things continue, I'll be exploring some more alternatives.
