80% of my inner pages moved from Pr0 to Pr3
Most of the pages are out of supplimental index and are showing up on Page 1 on google. So, iam doing well on traffic.
Backlinks more than doubled and all the incoming links are related to my website.

However, my home page PR still remained same at PR 4.

I was looking for traffic and iam getting, so iam happy.
    What is your story?

For one of my sites an inner page went from PR 0 to PR 2, but it's a forum and for some reason it gave PR to the page index.php even though I install some seo mod for it to be forum.html.

But I have a directory that went from a PR 3 to PR 4. Also had a forum go from PR 5 to PR 4, but that doesn't disappoint me because the forum has always been empty. I'm not sure how it got PR 5 in the first place.

Well, I don't know what I am doing wrong here.

I have my main site, which is the main site that I want to do well and promote the most. Why is it that this site has decreased in PR over the last few updates and have not moved on this update apart from one sub domain in it that has gone from PR4 to PR5. The thing that makes me thing is even this sub domain on this site is a section on the site that I have not done much if not any promoting for. Other sub domains I have done quite a bit of promoting and they have not increased in PR. The sub domain that I have barely done any promoting for since I had set it up 2 years ago now has a PR 5 and all of the rest of the sites Sub Domain Index Pages has PR 3 and PR4. Even the main root domain for the site has a PR4 and this is the main page that I have promoted because it is the homepage of the entire site.

It is really strange that I am finding that when I don't hardly promote sites that they seem to get alright PR and when I promote hard they seem to have roughly the same PR as sites that I never hardly promote.

Although saying this, I am getting much more traffic to the sites that I promote hard compared to the sites that I don't hardly promote.

I have noticed my sites PR has increased on one site that I have not promote much and it has increased considerably in Googles rankings over the past few days with a slight traffic increase.

My other website which has all the free traffic from google/msn/yahoo (3 year old) has basically 5 backlinks.
However, its PR is steady at 4 from over a year. Iam not even bothered to add backlinks because, iam getting the needed traffic and advrt revenue from kontera ads.

Looks like, we need to concentrate on website more and slowly comeout of PR/backlink mania.

None of my sites are on yahoo dir/dmoz and still my website shows up on page 1 at 4-7th position for relevant keywords. Surprisingly the site listed on dmoz is below my website on page 1.

My assumption is our assumptions/guesses about google are not entirely correct and may change from update to update. What doesn't change overtime is your website and its service. So concentrate on what we know for sure exists.

Everyone talks about update, but I have noticed nothing, I guess once you have most of your sites PR5 than getting to 6 means working that liittle bit extra

When was the update, anyone has a date?

    Great!

My mine site which I have done the most advertising for and it has been online for nearly around 5 years now has slipped down in the rankings. That is one reason why you should never rely on search engines, spend money optimization your site, spend money purchasing links just for PR gain, etc. as at the end of the day, it doesn't matter how much you spend or what you do you are not the people that are in control of where your site ranks. Google are the ones that control this, you can only help.

I have done nothing and the site has just slipped. I even right the domain name in and it doesn't come up first, it is somewhere around the 30th position. I have a UK domain with the same name and that comes up first place and I have not even promoted that all that much and it is about 2 years old.

My rankings have not moved on any sites by the look of things, but my rankings have definitly taken the turn for the worst with my main and most trafficed site.

Nevermind. I have mad experiences with Google before so I had prepared myself for any future bad experiences with them and here goes.

    Hi John 269

Would you rank your site as sticky, I am suspecting that during these update many site that were found by Google as not sticky enough have dropped in ranking a lot

    Cheers
