This Newbie Wants To Start A Directory... Help?

Aye, read the title

I want to setup a directory, with 3-4 categories and a few pages with names of people. When the name of a person is clicked, I want it to go to a page with information about that person, as well as a link to their website at the bottom.

Any help?

 

Hmm, I want it to 'look' like a directory if you understand what I mean

It'll pretty much be like a WikiPedia, but with names ie

Category A

Person One
Person Two

Category B

Person One
Person Two

And when the person's name is clicked, it'll take them to a page with a few details/testimonials and a link to their website.

As for directory scripts, are the free/ paid (if so, ballpark figure); any good names you can pass along?

That wouldn't really look like a directory, would it? I want users to be able to freely edit content

There are scripts similar to Wiki? That may be better

 

phpWiki would work best for what you're trying to do.
