Hello, Sorry this might have been asked serveral times, but i need to start building my www.directoryblend.com site which will offer latest free directory templates to users and also offer other coders to upload their templates and show a preview using images. So which one cms would suite me better? joomla , wordpress, drupal ? Also which one of these is easily customizable and easy to design ? Cause i will be building custom theme for either and hence will picking one will depend on the same. Also is there any other content management system other than above which i could use ? thanks for reading. Regards
o.k if you are building custom themes wordpress would be better and easy then joomla.on other hand joomla has great huge community so you have many choises of modules and other stuffs then wordpress.but wordpress is very easy and smooth. drupal is good too but not better than wordpress and joomla. oh you could checkout xoops too i love it.
Does wordpress has feature to upload images and files like drupal by users ? And what about xooops ? I am basically looking for that feature where users can upload images and maybe zip files.
if you're looking for ways to have users uploading and contributing content....drupal's probably the way to go. If you want to put out information in blog form at regular intervals for people to read or look at....Wordpress all the way. That's what its made for. If you're doing much "management" though, you should consider something more ambitious like drupal or *shudder* joomla. I'm mostly kidding about joomla. I've just set up a site with it and now that I understand how it all works, I've got a better perspective, but it seemed REALLY counterintuitive at first.
