I have a campaign in which i have around 10 keywords - all having great quality score & minimum bid of 0.02$. I'm bidding 0.1$ on each of them. Now since past half hour i'm getting this message -

"this keyword's minimum bid exceeds your current bid"

i checked my keywords again - they're showing great quality score with same old minimum bid.
    how is this possible?:(

If the minimum bid hasn't jumped to the sky limits, then increase your current bid.

Actually, you said that the minimum bid being requested by Adwords is $0.02 and that you're bidding $0.01. Why don't you just up your bid to meet the minimum requirement of $0.02?

    $0.01 or $0.02, dosen't make a difference in this case i think.

I've seen the minimum bid go up a long way very suddenly, which can really hurt. Perhaps this happened in this case, but you say the minimum bid is still showing as $0.02 where you're bidding $0.10 which seems very strange. Have you checked again more recently? The keywords may now show a higher minimum bid. It sure does hurt when that happens, especially if you've got quality ads and good CTRs.

You're a class dude! I wonder how people don't read questions before answering them. I said I'm bidding 0.1$ & not 0.01$. Read again.

    My mistake.

However, maybe you should learn how to express a sum of money properly so as to avoid confusion. There's no such thing as 0.02$ or 0.1$. They should be written like this: $0.02 and $0.10.

If your click through rate is low then the minimum bid for your specific site and content will go up (the generic one for other sites will stay the same). You could test out some different campaigns, work out which get the clickthrough, and then use those - but it will take a while to get the cost per click back down.

10 cents is really nothign, if everyones starting there bids at 1 dollar, like how i always do, your 10 cents google will not care about. Try to bid 50 cents or 75 if your scared and wait till your ctr kicks in and qs and google will slowly lower your cpc, honestly tho just cause your bidding 5 times your min, keep in mind 10 cents is still nothing, GOOGLE WANTS MONEY
