    Hi,
I searched my domain at MSN .
    http://www.ad4business.com
    No results .
    But when I searched for
    ad4business.com ,
    1 result .
Am I doing something wrong here or is it MSN ?

    Regards

It helps to understand what your site address is:

    http://www.ad4business.com

is the request you give to your browser (either by typing it or by clicking on a link)

    http:

Tells the browser that you are wanting it to locate and load something via the "HyperText Transfer Protocol" (rather than ftp, a local file or something else)

    //

Tells the browser that it can forget where it is starting from and look for the item from square 1. If you don't use // it should look relative to the location of the current page (but I'm not sure if anyone has ever done this!)

    www.ad4business.com

Is the address of the site to load.

So, the bottom line is that your site is simply www.ad4business.com, the http:// part is just info for your browser and so I would not expect a search engine to ever see it. Of course a smart SE would know this and ignore it if not in quotes!

When you search using http:// and no results are found the SE's put up a question below .
    MSN's looks something like :
"If you can't find a page and you know it exists , then send the address to us ".
I thought if a SE is not finding my URL , then it won't find my site as well. But then that's just me ...
Anyway now it finds my site by the URl as well .
