I recently launch my site selling ebooks. So I decided to get some traffic via reciprocal links. In 22 days I've like 21k links to my site. Can someone tell me whats happening. Is this normal when you do reciprocal linking? I don't want to get red flagged by Google you can check the number of links to a site using http://www.marketleap.com/publinkpop/ my site is at http://books.timesmeta.com
Do you have 21K outbound links also (i.e., is it 21K reciprocal links)? Could be that some site with thousands of pages added a sitewide link if the numbers don't match and you haven't been building backlinks. MSN only shows 137 external backlinks.
Yahoo shows 21,579 to me! Not sure if this will raise a flag or not, but you are doing it too fast...
my thoughts exactly. I think its going too fast & I'm not exactly sure reciprocal links will hold weight with google. how do i check for outbound links ? I can look into the links page but that would be tedious work to add them up manually
msn has this new command linkfromdomain: but it doesn't show anything for your domain. excessive reciprocal linking can get you penalized in google and the speed could raise a flag as others have mentioned. Doesn't your link exchange software have a summary of how many link exchanges you have done?
