This is REALLY weird

Some people say googlebot visits for site every month, others say once per week. That is not the case at my forum. Me as the admin, I can see everyone who is online and see their IP address and tell if it is googlebot or not.

I was noticing that googlebot immediately crawled a new thread instantly. I was supprised at how quick it was. But now whenever I go and post on my forum, the googlebot is following me everywhere, even when I am not posting.

This is really weird. My site is only 1 month old also. Is is good that googlebot is visiting my site so often?

Why are you complaining. I wish Google bot was crawling my website every second.
What you can do is register with Google.com/webmasters and it will tell you when was the last time that your pages got crawled.
Note that the fact that Google bot visits your pages does not mean that your pages will be indexed.

It's quite normal that google crawls sites quickly, especially blogs and forums. some of my pages are found immediately when you search appropiate keywords.

it is very normal for googlebot to crawl forum that often, there isn't anything weird about that in my opinion.

Are you sure it is the regular Googlebot and not the Adsense bot. If you have Adsense on your site and you create a new thread, the Adsense bot immediately indexes the page for the right ad.

I have the same situation. I constantly see the google bot indexing away on a daily basis- even when I don't update content.

I don't complain though, good for business. I have many good keywords because of it I feel.

Some people don't get crawls often enough. I don't see why you should comlain unless you are worried about eating bandwidth.

If that's a problem, you can always reduce the crawl frequency in your google webmaster tools, or add certain sections to robots.txt.
