This is outrageous... infraction issue

I recently received an infraction for starting a social bookmarking service on DP. However, I had created that service in August of last year! I'm not sure if the thread was bumped or something, but I stopped doing that for people about a month after I started the service. I know that social bookmarking services were allowed back then, and I didn't continue with the service, and yet I still got an infraction.

This makes me upset that the mod that gave me the infraction didn't do any research before giving it to me. I understand that if the thread was bumped, he/she couldn't tell if I was still giving the service, but I'm really disappointed that they just assumed I was breaking the rules.

I would like to have this infraction dealt with appropriately.

If it is your only one in a while I wouldn't worry about it at all. One or two won't hurt you at all and it isn't worth getting your blood pressure up.

By the way, starting this thread is an infractionable offense.

 

You can PM a mod about it, they might reverse it.

Although, one infraction won't really do anything, it's when you get up to 10 infraction, and that is when the automatic ban comes in play.

 

You're right. I'm going to reverse the infraction and close the thread. In the future though, PM a mod if you have a legitimate concern about an infraction instead of starting threads about it. We can look into it more quickly that way, and you won't risk getting another infraction for complaining if we don't end up reversing it.
