This is my site, I need some suggestions on how to get it index correctly

Ok, so I'm new to SEO and Indexing. Can anyone give me some advice on how to get started and what should I do to my site so that others can find it. http://www.njopenhouseguide.com

 

I would recommend 2 things:

Optimise your page, so make the title say exactly what you want people to search for to get there (+1/2 *buffer* words.) Perhaps add a bit more text alliterating your keywords without being obscene.

Publicise - get some good Contextual links (that is when you add links to things use text rather than the name for linking) E.G your signiture could read

Open House Guide rather than www.njopenhouseguide.com

 

I'm going to add more text on the home page so that my keywords will be present.

Do you think it would be worth ading some google ads at the bottom?

For a start make sure your code validates to w3c standards. (go to w3c.org) This will make it easier for search engine spiders to read your pages and index your site. Also, register your site with google and submit it to some free directories.

 

What are some of the free directories?

 

Well as an SEO expert i would like to suggest to concentrate strongly on Mata Tage, Directory Submission and Link Exchange with High PR websites which will affect your website and it will start coming up on all the search engines. Also dont forget to submit your website in YAHOO - GOOGLE and MSN which will get you higher impact.

 

Submit it to directories. DMOZ is a good one to start with.

 

By the way have you submitted your site to diff. search engines such as Yahoo, Google, MSN and others?
