I just had to restore my Firefox bookmarks so I decided to right a guide with the steps to save myself and others time if this should happen in the future. So here you go (assuming you're running Windows). If you lose your Firefox bookmarks: Go to 'Start > Search > All files and folders' and type in 'bookmark*' and hit search. Look for the most recent bookmark file, example (bookmarks-2008-03-14). Double click on it and it should open in firefox. Now go to 'file > save' and save it to your desktop. Now go to 'Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks > File > Import' and choose the file you just added to your desktop and hit ok. That will restore your bookmarks! Now if your toolbar bookmarks are not showing you need to go back to organize bookmarks and scroll down to the second toolbar bookmarks and hold control while you click on every bookmark and then copy. Now go back to your main browser and right click on the toolbar bookmarks and paste. There you go! Code (markup):
Yeah, it will probably happen at some point or another. It's happened to me twice in the past few years.
