I was wondering if anyone paid any special emphasis to keyword density in Yahoo. Google seemed to place a lot of emphasis on that.
I never got any tangible results from being listed in DMOZ and Yahoo directory. I don't even think they pass PR!
Yahoo definately seems to like new and updated content. I uploaded a new site (www.devon-self-catering.co.uk) just last week and I am already ranking No. 2 for the keywords "Devon Self Catering" out of 3,850,000 results. Or 6th for "Self Catering Devon" of 3,300,300 results. I didn't even submit the site to Yahoo, or had chance to do any link building yet, just one link from my other website and Yahoo found it and indexed it in less than a week. Altavista also has done exactly the same. Of course the site doesn't come anywhere in Google's search yet, another 6 months probably until that happens ! Just a shame really that not that many users actually use Yahoo or Altavista for searching, only 2 hits so far !
Thanks for the advice. I know that google said they will no longer index RSS feeds, it is good that Yahoo still does at least.
It is great. I think whatever google, or yahoo, as long as you keep doing these steps, your site will rank well.no problem
