I have had issues with payment processors in the past as well as cell phone companies, credit card companies, ISP, etc. Every time I got to the place that I felt the issue would not be resolved I would file a BBB.org complaint and almost every time I got not only the issue resolved favorably but get stuff for free as well. This may only work for US customers, not sure. Here is what you do: 1) You need to try and solve the problem with the regular customer service channels. 2) If the problem is not going to get resolved favorably for you file a complaint on BBB.org 3) About a week later you will get a call from "The office of the President" and the person on the line is actually able to not only help solve the problem if you can effectively communicate the issue but also give you additional discounts, free stuff, etc. The last time I used this my ISP wanted me to pay them $75 for a new modem. I have been with them for like 12 years and their cheap little wired modem finally went out. I called them and they tried to make me pay $75 for a new one. I told them that I was a customer for 12 years and that I should not need to pay to replace their faulty equipment that I'm sure outlasted its expected lifetime. The refused to send one for free but I told them to send one anyways because they were going to bill it to the next payment. I then filed a BBB.org complaint and received a call around a week latter and told them what the issue was. the not only gave me the modem but sent me an upgraded wirless modem in the mail as well and forgave the next bill that was to be sent so I saved around $135 by taking action. Goodluck
good advice, thanks for sharing! I have also had luck with some companies and social review sites like Yelp. The manager will reach out to resolve an issue but only after posting that negative review. Most of the time, things are resolved!
