It looks like Caffeine will start to roll out soon. Just saw this message at the Sandbox, wasn't there this morning. We appreciate all the feedback from people who searched on our Caffeine sandbox. Based on the success we've seen, we believe Caffeine is ready for a larger audience. Soon we will activate Caffeine more widely, beginning with one data center. This sandbox is no longer necessary and has been retired, but we appreciate the testing and positive input that webmasters and publishers have given.
Just noticed sandbox comes up with that message. Unclear exactly how long or what that might mean for everyone. Interesting to follow and see what happens though.
Yeah, I'm wondering why they don't just make it live if they're satisfied with the testing. Maybe they mean that the update will just begin from a single datacenter and then that one will update the others. I should probably go back and read the patents on updates across multiple data centers. I remember seeing a chart or something about how these things propagate. However it gets implemented though, it should be a really interesting modification and it looks like one that will be great for my own sites
I would think they could implement it immediately. They did the testing. Why the wait, google? Lets go!

It makes sense to roll it out slowly. Testing was really done with people that had a vested interest in Caffeine such as webmasters. Most probably don't even know there is a change coming. Rolling it out to one datacenter will now result in the public getting a first look at Caffeine and Google will wait to see if there are any complaints/positive feedback
OK, now I am panicking.... Not really, but I haven't checked caffeine for a while to see if things were still looking good for our sites. Hope that caffeine update is what I last saw. Also hope they knock out a competitor who spammed links and took #1 on many KWP. I know other sites have been banned doing exactly what they are.
Looks like the roll out will be slow. One datacenter shortly and roll out probably not till Jan http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/google-caffeine-update/
Webpronews: Chris Crum has a great review... Here is a good video of matt chating about caffeine in general.. thx M1
