This thread has to be read to be believed. This guy, adcnet-uk, is throwing a wobbly because Shawn won't change his username even though the forum rules are quite clear. Now he is threatening legal action... can't wait to see how that one turns out
Well that is what happens when morons are allowed loose on a forum. As someone had stated on that thread, he is either "brain-dead or 12 years old." He did ask for his profile to be removed so I say a life long ban is in order for him.
well some people just have to many money to hire a lawyer even if they know they ain't going to win Beside I see this as someone trying to use a loop hole in the legal system and profiting from it. It has happen before when someone find the smallest mistake from the target and sues, though most will not win but there are cases where they do win
Word. I have a very low tolerance for morons... threatening legal action over a NAME CHANGE? You have got to be kidding me.
LOL, throwing a wobbly??? That made my day right there, very funny! I saw all his threads about the name change too and personally think he needs more things to do with his life if he has time to "throw a wobbly" over a nickname!
Great post. That really did nothing to help his reputation. I think they should add that to the FAQ. "We will require a court order to change your username"
there are posts deletyed from that thread, mine for 1, " wow another wanna be fucking lawyer" is how i started it. more so when they quote laws that just don't exist, a business name is under trademark laws not copyright laws, and it has to be a registered trademark n00b?
I think you guys should read this - digitalpointing.com Give this guy a break...do you not have lives? a DP moderator actually told me the only way to change your username would be to issue the owner of this forum with Legal Action!! I think you sad losers should look at yourself and stop kissing ass, helping the guy who owns this forum make more money by posting daily. Go out get some bloody fresh air! I mean he only wanted to change his name and a stupid idiot Moderator told him to actually issue the owner with a court summons. I mean who's the fucking moron(s) now? There should be a paid option for this - even Sitepoint which in my opinion is a much Maturer and intelligent audience change a username without any fuss. Take a leaf out of their book I say... Very sad and I've only just joined...
