    Is it that the world in general has resorted to more depraved and sadist behaviour to harm others OR has it been going on for many years but it just gets more media coverage?

    It sort of reminds of what went on in the "Saw" series of movies - torture in cruel and unsual ways to maximise pain etc.

    Im not saying that movies influenced or was the basis of his actions but the same sick behaviour.

    Let me guess the "temporary insanity" excuse will be used in his plea to try to the reduce jail sentence :(
