Are you sure? What do you mean by black green? The username color shade is darker and its just for premium members?

 

Aside from making it harder to engage in PM spam... a required lagtime is a standard tool to avoid having someone with a script shut the place down.

This forum has been targeted in DDOS attacks many times. PM scripts are a potential security issue. If you want the place to be up and running, a lag for members that are still unknown quantities is a small price to pay.

DP is vulnerable to Digg attacks though, that is nearly as bad as a small DDOS attack ^^

 

What's the issue with emailing people, adding IM contacts, and posting a reply to a thread, or visitor message where appropriate? There are lots of other ways to contact people than just PM's. Unless you type as fast as I do when I'm really at it, just learn to multitask and do something else so your wait time is productive. Gives you time to think about the right way to word things too. Sometimes getting a better reply off to 1 person is better than 100 choppy messages with errors...

 

I agree business needs to be conducted fast and waiting 5 minutes to do so isn't spam its just bad business.
