This forum for parents needs a review

My step daughter asked me to put her forum together, so I did. And I would like a short review of it.

Kandance is 20 years old, has a 1 year old son and is expecting her second child December 3rd. Her hopes are to have a community of new and older parents who can share information.

You should have a header, and the colour scheme could be better.

 

The design is not bad but I think the site would look better if you had a header with some pictures
of your relatives.

 

YEs, as all above said, header seriously missing some good work.
header really has to be on spot, as it the first thing represent your website to your visitors.
work it out, it might look good than.

I tried to review your forum but I couldn't get passed the bright purplish color you have going on. I think it is so bright it takes away from the content. The font on the HOME, HELP, etc... buttons make them hard to read, they might work in a different color.

I also have to add that if the forum is targetted to parents and not just moms, you might want to pick a neutral color insted.

On a good note, the domain is pretty sweet for such a forum.
Along with the suggestions about the color, I do think a nice header with a family type image would be great.
