I was reading newspaper when I came across this - "Two Mumbai(India) schools specifically forbid boys and girls from touching or hugging members of the opposite sex in the school premises..." WTF?? Two mumbai schools have ruled that girls and boys will not be allowed to touch each other, even in case they go touchy-feely by mistake they will be penalized for it. Do not handshake with your best friend pal, because she is a gal. You will end up in trouble.. I am glad that I completed my schooling long ago.. Geez.. India is going to be next Iran.. Whats next? 100 Lashes for being with someone of opposite sex in public.. getting stoned to death for having premarital sex with your boy friend? Man, We need people with brains to rule this country.... If it continues like this.. I'll be moving to the moon...
It is bizarre, I suppose the west wouldn't have such a problem with teen pregnancy if only the kids weren't allowed to have physical contact.
It's a sad part of society today. Even here in Australia, kids (even little ones, even ones of the same sex) at school are not supposed to hug each other or anything. And teachers aren't supposed to hug a child even to comfort him or her if they are hurt or sad or something. I guess I can understand the concerns- both for the child, and for the potential bad position a teacher could find her/himself in, but it's a pity that natural, innocent, platonic caring cannot be physically shown, for these fears.
lol, on Brazilian private schools is just like the same, but not because of any religion, it's because here to get on a good university and have a good future. You have to STUDY and studying means like 5~6 hours a day at least to go to a public college(they are the best). Brazil seens to suck, people think that here is a jungle or there's just beaches but on some areas it's pretty much like Tokyo.
Hahahaha, i guess rules are meant to be broken It will be a cold day in hell that i decide to leave my country, hate it or love it, its all we have Actually i am very proud to be an Indian
That's not a very constructive way to think. I'm not saying your country is bad or good, I have 0 expereince with India, however rules are NOT there to be broken, they are there to bring order, not to opress perfectly natural feelings that are vital to a emotionally and mentally stable adult.
And this comes from the state, that prohibits Sex Education to save the culture.. Its like WTF!! instead of providing healthy education they are forcing weird rules.. Like we are heading to 17th Century...
