    Advertising (learn more)

Advertise virtually anything here, with CPM banner ads, CPM email ads and CPC contextual links. You can target relevant areas of the site and show ads based on geographical location of the user if you wish.

Starts at just $1 per CPM or $0.10 per CPC.

Thinking of starting a private 'webmaster' forum.

Thanks for everyones support so far!

There will be no subscription and no ads (unless the server costs become stupidly high). The site is running on a cluster of servers at the moment, so it should be very fast.

Jook, I will be looking at mods when we reach 30 members - You seen quite knowledgeable so I will add you to the list :) Also thanks for the link!! Every one we get helps.

@ VBulletin - I may consider it if some members are not happy with the current forums, but I'm going to mod them a bit to add some extra features!

Besides, phpBB has some features VB doesn't, like notifying you if someone has posted while you were typing your reply :)

@ 0lgi, as it has only been about 24 hours since the forum is online, a handful of users may still experience DNS issues. They should be completely gone by tomorrow, though, and they don't affect many people currently.

We have some fantastic resources and information on the forums already! Sign up and help us build the highest quality forum around!

I've been a member of this forum now and I'm very happy with a lot of thing number one there is no spam I don't think anyones even posted a link for their own personal gain yet and it's also second it's fresh looking hence the name.

We all get to know each other better then bigger forums, because there is only 20+ members everyone gets to know each other then if your on digitalpoint and there are 100 thousand plus members.

I really like this forum and I can see myself becoming a regular! :D

This is a good idea. Once it gets off the ground and has vBulletin (or, if it's really popular that wont matter), then I'll join. I rarely post on webmaster forums due to the spam and lack of moderation nature of the posts.

We had a vote on whether or not to switch to VB, but the majority of users liked the current set-up :)

I've installed a couple of mods so most of VB's features are now on there, and plus phpbb has some cool features VB doesn't like notifying you if someone has posted while you were writing a reply :)

    Great PlateFish! :D

We're at 32 members now... A good chunk of that number is active, so by next week I'm guessing it'll be shut off to the public and then you'll have to apply to join or get an invitation from someone else :)

PS. A few people have joined but not posted, probably just incase they can't get in later; this is not what we're looking for. Inactive users will be removed (aka 0-1 posts).

Quick update; we're now at 40 members, and will be switching to members only late next week.

A couple of cool things will be added to the forum too, such as a "webmaster diary" section where you can document your progress on your sites every day, get suggestions and feedback, and read other success stories as well as learn from what other people do... :)

What does that mean exactly? A great many people in India speak fluent English; it just happens to be a different variant of English from that spoken in the USA.

Here in Malaysia a significant number of people speak English as their first language, but I've often observed that visiting Americans can't understand a word they're saying for the first few days. Same in Singapore.

Someone who was provincial and ignorant might attribute these difficulties to a lack of fluency when in fact they're merely regional variations. It would be a shame, because a strict dialect shibboleth would exclude many potentially valuable contributors.
