    I'd be interested in this, but I have several questions.

    1) How do you determine who gets in and who doesn't? You said in one of your posts above that it might be invitation-only, so what happens if Member A invites a complete douchebag that just spams it? Obvious the newbie member would get banned, but would Member A have to face any consequences for vouching for them?

    2) Would this be strictly limited to specific fields of marketing? I.e. seo, affiliate marketing, etc, or would it be more of a general webmaster community?

    I would be willing to cover the domain and hosting costs, as well as server administration for something like this if you are interested.

    well, if we want this forum to be a special place and keep it like that, every member should take responsibility in inviting new people. And if a member invites someone that shouldn't be invited, then he must face the consequences.

    "I would limit the members to something like 100."

    I think limiting members will limit the forum progress.

    @ Chris Little;
    If someone invited a complete douchbag, they would obviously be removed from the forum. As for the person who invited them, we could have a warning system - three bad invites and they're suspended or banned.

    @Angilina;
    Yes, I've agreed and said 100 would be too low to start with. I think initially we should cap it at around 500, and then see how many active users we have at once. If we don't have enough active users online often enough, then we can double the cap. If it took off and everyone wanted to be in it, then it just wouldn't be what this is all about - a private community.

    I'm back from work now so will start looking at things. :)

    Ok, I have set up a basic forum to get us started.

    Freshh - The Quality Web Community

    Those who are interested please sign up (the forum becomes visible once you are a member) and let's try and get things going - obviously, it will be slow due to the lack of posts, but if we all try and kick-start things that initial period will go by much faster.

    PS. If you sign up and you are an idiot, scammer, asshole or can barely speak English - you will be removed from the forum.

    We're not accepting everyone. Anyone can register at the moment, but you can think of their first posts a trial period... If they make the wrong impression, they will be removed - simple as that. :)

    The public signup option will be removed eventually and then it will be invitation only. I've left it open for now to give it a bit of a kick start - be aware though, I am not afraid to remove someone who makes the wrong impression!

    I would like to see the forum ran on vbulletin, any chance of that happening? Also will you be needing mods, because I would love to mod such a community.

    Also adding you to my sig ;)
