Hey, I'm thinking of signing up for AdWords, but I have a question, first. My site is about Runescape Private servers, and there are not many other sites about them. None of them are using AdWords, as far as I know. Ususally, Java or other programming ads show up in AdSense. Since none of them are about the subject, could I just bid $0.01 and still have my ads shown because they are the only ones specifically about Runescape Private Servers? Thanks!
You can bid $0.01 on a particular keyword. However, it depends largely on your quality score. The QS, is determined by your keyword's clickthrough rate, relevance of ad text, historical keyword performance, and other relevancy factors. And the minimum bid is a good indicator of how you are going. If you improve the above factors, maybe some of the keywords you are bidding for will be active for $0.01.
Go for it, try Adwords. In my opinion you can get an idea only if You try it. Not with huge amount, let's say only 50 USD. You can get an idea and from there one You will know what to do....
