We are considering offering an affiliate program for our products. Our brand is quite well known and our products are popular. We would be looking for people with travel sites, possibly gadget, photography sites and motorcycling sites. I don't want to reveal the products/brand just now.... but I'd like to know what you would like as an affiliate if you have sites in those categories to encourage you to try our affiliate program. Thanks Sean
I highly recommend that you work with an affiliate program professional like 5 Star Affiliate Programs to ensure that your new affiliate program is successful.
Thanks Will, I was looking at idevaffiliate from idevdirect to run the backend. We already sell online and have our own fulfillment warehouse.
Thanks so much Will! Hi Sean. I actually don't do affiliate management or set up programs any more. I specialize in only in PR and promotion these days. I only represent programs that meet certain 5 Star criteria and very seldom even have openings for new clients. I do offer free phone consultations though and am always happy to offer free advice. I'm very well connected too, so can refer you out for any help you may need. I do free phone consultations by appointment 1 - 3 PST. Email me to set up a time if you'd like to talk.
We have our own small affiliate programme but we are also looking for an outsourced provider to manage the interaction for us. We sell high end villa holidays to locations around the world. The average basket value is high and our conversion rate is also within industry averages. We are open to suggerstions but want a company that focuses on the UK market. Any affiliates out there who want to join our in house programme can email us at
Thanks for the reply I'm located in Hong Kong, so calling is a little out of the question. I'm pretty much decided on the software we will use, what I wanted to know from other webmasters was what they look for in an affiliate program. What types of links are most popular ? Banners ? Sizes?
I use a few travel affiliate programmes. The main things I look for are: - using a recognised affiliate company like CJ or tradedoubler, because a lot of privately managed affiliate schemes seem less than honest - deeplinks / xml feeds, because banners don't seem to do very well for me - decent reporting - good payout rate! Problem is that 'trying' an affiliate scheme never seems to work well, it always takes a few months to get appropriate pages ranked in the SERPS etc so I need to be pretty confident up-front it's worth the effort. But that's because I'm too stingy to pay for CPC and prefer to wait for 'natural' SE traffic
Seanchk, we can help you manage and recruit affiliate for your programs. I personally manage 8 Commission Junction affiliate programs and several inhouse. Let me know if you want to chat about affiliate marketing in general, feel free to IM or call me anytime. Check my first signature link to see some of the programs we manage.
you should take up the 5 star offer. she knows every way to promote an affiliate program travel niche is super competitive. sites want to know the numbers. but if you have something unique, it could catch on. good luck
