    Hey,

My dad promised that he'll get me a laptop in a couple of weeks.
I was thnking of getting a Dell Inspiron 1520.

Its costing me around INR 54000 wihich is around $1400.

Well, I love the configuration of the laptop which I've customised.

P.S. Well if anybody has a dell discount coupon then do PM me...

That is a good choice imho. If you want something reliable that will last over a few years go with the XPS models.

Though Sony vaio is a better option, price wise it is costlier. I advice you to stick with the DELL which is equally good :)

I have a Dell laptop, it is now old and outdated but it has always ran as it was intended. I've been very pleased with it.

I have two dell laptops, one has been through hell and is still working fine, the other has been handled delicately but has been nothing but trouble.. go figure dell....

I worked with many different laptops through the years and the recent years IBMs were the best.

I am on a Dell XPS M140 laptop right now that I bought about two years ago. I think it's great. Although I'm moving to OSX :D I'm gonna be picking up a 20" iMac with 4GB ram soon :D But so far this baby has been great for me :)

i had 3 laptops so far: compaq, dell, and IBM. out of all three, dell is the worse. i will never buy another dell. my battery died after one year when the warrenty was just over. my brother bought a dell and his battery gets heated up so bad that he has to shut down every 4-5 hours. dell laptop is also known to catch fire, here's the news

here is another news about their battery recall.

Yeah the only prob that we suffer with dell is battery, its shit. You would need to constantly connect the power wire with it to keep it live.I remember when i used to play FIFA at my friend's home we constantly had to keep the battery charged up.They die very soon.
