Hi Everyone, I'm thinking of upgrading to a Dedicated or Virtual Dedicated server for my hosting needs in a few months, but I'm not too confident about using one and playing around within the environment. What I'm hoping to do, and IF someone is willing to let me is for them to let me play around (without crashing it, I hope) for a month or so, so that I can get the feeling of what running a dedicated server is like. After that I will decide whether upgrading to a dedicated server is for me, and if I choose to go down that path, I would probably seek some partners to help pay for the server costs (prob 1 or 2 partners). If you're interested in helping me out by providing access to a virtual dedicated server (for free OR a small fee) for a month, and then going into partnership around the beginning of July please let me know either via this thread or PM. Its the fact that I have never used one before, and I don't particularly want to be thrown in the deep end, so to speak.
If its a spare one it would be appreciated. But if not I'll just buy a month worth of one at spry.com

What is your level of knowledge with servers and hosting? If you are not too confident, keep someone who knows them well within your reach.. Learning by doing things really help..
Update: I bought a server from Spry Hosting for one month at the moment to see how it all goes, and learn the ins and outs of a server. Its running webmin and if anyone could track down some really good webmin tutorials for me I would be appreciated. Cheers.
