but doesnt everything have a shadow..even grain plants cast shadows..i dont understand..could you please clarify becoming vegan is something that members of my family considered but chose not too, ive never really considered it but wouldnt mind learning more about it
I've been doing about 70% raw and have definitely felt better, blood sugars lower not as much insulin. I dehydrate my own flax crackers and there is a raw blueberry pie that is delicious. I was vegetarian for a year and I seem to do better with some meat. A good friend is a naturopath and he really feels that having meat protein is important. I know they have some good protein from egg whites, hemp, etc. in shakes now. I found that eating soy was not healthy for me and I started gaining weight as I was trying to eat like burgers that were soy, etc. Found out it messes with the hormones. I wish you all the best. For me 70% raw is a good way to go. I do have a link to a couple raw places if you go to the home page and then to the raw corner. Alissa's book & dvd are real good. Good Luck! Cora
I would love to talk to the guy who said he is a student by night and an animal killer by day. Im glad he has seen the light, and is atleast thinking of becoming a veghead. I was just discussing this very thing with my roommate the other day, about meat jobs, and how some people work in slaugterhouses and/or factory farms, day in and day out. How do they deal with what they see on a regular basis, how depressing and horrid a JOB that must be. I truly cannot imagine it. How do they do it? How can this be what they get up in the morning (every morning) for. yuck.
Personally, I would prefer to be vegetarian. Have tried it a couple times. I'm at least 70%, that's a lot better than I used to be. It is an adjustment. How does one get the right amount of protein? Why do even the naturopath doctors say it should come from meat protein? I'm trying different ways and I found the raw food is really good. I love all animals and one day I hope to find that right balance with the protein in an all vegetarian lifestyle.
What color? Somewhere the children of the invisible man are all huddled in a corner, scared to death of you right now. -Michael
Oh my, from your doggie's eye, I don't lie, I thought it could die from an upset regarding that dye. Did it become vegan lately? *Hm, free proofreading service maybe?
what i dont understand is that if vegans dont want to hurt animals then why do they wear animal products ie. leather shoes..leather handbags..leather wallets etc?? that makes absolutely no sense to me. if you are a vegan who has completely gone without animal products whatsoever then i congratulate you for sticking to your beliefs 100%.
Most vegans do not wear animal products. I am a vegetarian - not a vegan - but I still abstain from using and/or wearing leather products.
Yes, I finished the 1 month but decided to go back to meat It was a truly interesting experience, well worth the effort!
